I hope its one of those where you have to simply catch them and not fuse all forms of unowns together. Otherwise some people really have lots of Unowns ready for splicing

@porymon What does Unown have to do with Meltan? I'm not saying it's not a Meltan event, I'm just curious why you've jumped to that conclusion based on nothing but an event title and the fact that some Meltan information has been available for months.

Not concluding anything and the meltan info  just got out last week?

Jus saying It would be cool if it were sumtin like that.

All that's available on Meltan is from Pokémon Go and Pokémon Let's Go which has been available for much longer than last week. We still don't know how Meltan will evolve in the main series without the Pokémon Go candy system.

Anyway, my point was I just wanted to hear a more detailed theory, it just makes things more interesting.
"I think it's Meltan because of this - ..." is far more interesting than just "I think it's Meltan" so I wanted you to expand on your point.

 Also, am I the only one who checked if the unown letters in the event pic were gonna reveal some details about the event?

Well , it'll be a cool event anyway.

Placing my bets on a painstakingly obtainable Arceus (Unknown) or some other kind of Arceus form because of Unowns being somewhat involved in Arceus lore. If the placeholder date length is similar to the actual event length, it would make sense with Unowns having to be required for some kind of fusion. Interesting

Or maybe this entire topic is a sham and this is Patrick hinting at Wonder Trade's re-release.

It makes sense since the poke you get through wonder trade is "unown" and by using wonder trade you'd be going "Into The Unown".

Also this is probably the first time Pat has created an event without fixing the event date of commencement.

The first thing it came to my mind when i saw this as it has been said here is an Arceus (Unknown) after collecting all unowns so All shiny unowns = Shiny Arceus Unknown and so on so there is my bet

Joking aside, maybe Necrozma event although there is no connection between Necrozma and Unown.
