event pokemon are not obtained from beating the events under the battle section

Event pokemon are not permanent in nature and are obtained during sporadic times such as Halloween,Christmas etc,and on such occasions they are announced on the dashboard as well as on vortex facebook,so I suggest you stay in touch with those

Also,the event pokemon(when obtainable that is) are usually obtained through various methods such as by catching them on the maps,thus the event pokemon are usually independent of the event section,so I hope your confusion is cleared and you dont get mixed up between the two from now on
