You're asking how to catch the pokemon.
You don't get the Pokemon when it faints.
To catch the Pokemon you need to use a Pokeball, there is list of items are on side of your screen. Choose a Pokeball then, click use. (You can buy most of the pokeballs with from the Pokemart.)
There are several Pokeballs;
- Lowest catch rate, good for weak pokemon.
- Higher Pokémon catch rate than a standard Poké Ball can.
- Ultra-high performance Poké Ball with a higher success rate for catching Pokémon than a Great Ball.
- A Poké Ball that works well when catching Pokémon that live underwater.
- A Poké Ball that makes it easier to catch wild Pokémon at night or in dark places like caves.
- A Poké Ball that will make it easier to catch Pokémon that can evolve using a Moon Stone.
- A Poké Ball that is more effective when attempting to catch Water or Bug-type Pokémon.
- A high capture rate Poké Ball. With it, you can catch any wild Pokémon without fail (Excluding Ultra Beasts).
- Similar to a Master Ball, it has the ultimate level of performance. With it, you can catch any wild Pokémon without fail.
- Specifically designed to hold Ultra Beast Pokémon. 
 
For low performance pokeballs, you should weaken the pokemon first.

you can buy them from Pokebay, recive them from doing Sidequests, or recive them from Mystery boxes.
