Is it bad that he traded your pokemon? Yes. Is it on you that you basically gave away a semi valuable pokemon away? Yes.

This doesnt really make sense with how you cant have less than 6 pokemon in team, but if that were to change this wouldnt be so bad. Instead of all level 100s I would say its better to have them at levels the gym leaders have them. Its always nice to have more challenges/achievements.
