  1. Changes to Seasons Starting Sep' 2020 Starting September 2020 the following changes will be made to seasons: Promo codes redeemed will no longer contribute to users seasonal points. Season end results will be logged which will later on be accessible to browse through in an archive of previous seasons.
  2. Pokémon Vortex will be down for maintenance on November 1st starting at an estimated time of 00:00 GMT until a currently unknown time. During the maintenance period, Pokémon Vortex will be moved to a much more robust and capable server than what it currently uses. Maintenance FAQ Q - If we are already logged in, can we continue playing during the maintenance? A - No. You will automatically be logged out as the whole game needs to be taken offline. Q - What about Discord quizzes won during the maintenance period? A - Promo codes won on Discord will have their usual expiry time of an hour extended to be usable after the maintenance. Q - Will we lose any account progress during this? A - No.
  3. Clan Changes 2019/2020 Effective immediately, clans will no longer be able to hold 400 members. The Capacity is now set at 100 members per clan. What does this mean for clans that already have over 100 members? They will remain over capacity until the clan condenses their own member list or when the next content update drops (the mobile update) - Those clans will automatically have their member list condensed on a random basis of member kicks. How long do clans have to organise their own member list to be 100 or below? The date is uncertain but I urge you to do it as soon as possible. Who will be removed from a clan if the member list is left above 100 at the time of the next update? All users with roles (Leader, Co-Leader, Elitest) will be left in the clan. Members without a role will be randomly chosen to be removed until the clan is left at 100 members. Why was this change made? Multiple reasons. The first being a preparation for the "Clan Skills" update. The second reason being hopefully this will spread players out a bit more across multiple clans, making the Top Clans leaderboard a bit more competitive and interesting for the upcoming clan updates we have planned. If you know anyone who runs a clan, please spread this notice on so they can have a chance to organise their own clan without us intervening. Thank you.
  4. Effective immediately on July 27th, 2017, the clan forums will be no longer. Instead they have been replaced with a forum clan system where each clan can have their own small section of the forums with multiple topics and calendars. These clans will tie in with your in-game v4 clans when available but you're free to go ahead and try out the forum clans first and get yours up and running ready for v4. Each forum clan will have a leader that is the original creator of the clan and they will be able to appoint separate moderators to help keep their clan section clean. This, however, is not essential, you can run it all by yourself if you like. Unlike in-game clans, a forum clan will have unlimited user slots where you will be able to invite existing forum users to your created clan or you will be able to request to join someone else's clan. Again, unlike the in-game clans, you will be able to join multiple forum clans for the ease of being able to communicate with everyone on the forums. While this can be seen as your own section of the forums, it does not mean you can overrule the original global forum rules. These still apply to all clans created and will be enforced by the global moderators/administrators. You can find the new clans section in the top menu of every forum page: From here, you will be presented with the options of creating a clan or joining an existing clan. If you decide to create a clan, the privacy of this clan is decided by you with the following options: Public Everyone can see the clan and its posts, and can participate without joining. Open Everyone can see the clan and its posts, but only members can participate. Everyone can join. Closed Everyone can see the clan and who's in it, but only members can see posts and participate. Users need to ask a leader to join. Private Only members can find the clan and see its posts. Users need to be invited by a leader to join. This current clan sub-forum will be removed with all of it's content on August 15th, 2017 which gives everyone who currently has a topic here the chance to gather any information they need and migrate it to the new clan section. Soon to follow this topic is the clan section rules outlined and a detailed guide on how to set up and run an effective forum clan.

    Notice Reputation

    Reputation is put in place so the community can deem a thread as a contribution to the community and so the top contributors can be recognized. Some seem to be under the impression that getting to the top contributors list is a competitive thing and that was not our intention when we placed it there, nor will we be changing our minds. While wanting to contribute to the community is great, asking for rep is not necessary. If your thread contributes to the community through being useful, entertaining, etc, you will receive your due reputation. So please, when posting, do not ask for reputation, and please members of the community, do no contribute to anyone trying to abuse the reputation system in this way. Anyone attempting to abuse reputation will get their reputation reset and experience our Warning System. Reputation was originally set to 20 points daily, however we will be reducing it to 5 daily, so use your reputation wisely.
  6. When creating a report thread, please make sure to be as informative and thorough as possible. At minimum a report must include the scammer's username, the scam message, and a screenshot as proof. Any user who tries to create a false report in an attempt to get an innocent player banned, will be punished with a ban.
