6. Rotating Card [CSS] After some experimentation I came up with a pretty cool thing for a rotating banner/card/whatever you want to call it. I shared this so that you guys can develop this little thing to a very cool code. div { width: 100px; height: 100px; background: red; -webkit-transition: width 2s, height 2s, -webkit-transform 2s; transition: width 2s, height 2s, transform 2s; } div:hover { width: 300px; height: 300px; -webkit-transform: rotate(360deg); transform: rotate(1080deg); } div.card { width: 250px; box-shadow: 4px 8px rgba(, , , 0.2), 6px 20px rgba(, , , 0.19); text-align: center; } div.header { background-color: #4CAF50; color: white; padding: 10px; font-size: 40px; } div.container { padding: 10px; } Here is the HTML <div class="card"> <div class="header"> <h1>Heading</h1> </div> <div class="container"> <p>Your Text goes here!</p> </div> </div> Example :

10. Programing TOH's HTMLs

11. For those people who have been helping us by doing some of the wiki Pokemon pages, this code here should reduce your work by loads. I had made this code long ago, but this 4th version of the code is probably the easiest and the best version. The code is made using JAVA programming language, so it's platform independent and anyone can use it. Firstly, if you have no experience or knowledge about JAVA, I suggest using a software named BlueJ, which can be used to run the code. Instructions for people who will use BlueJ (1) Download the BlueJ and JDK software from this link: (2) Install JDK first, and then install BlueJ (3) Open BlueJ, click on "Project", and click on "New Project" (4) In the dialogue box which opens, select path and name the folder as "Vortex", then click on "Create" (5) On clicking on "Create", a new BlueJ will open, and your screen will be like this: (6) Click on "New Class", and put any name you want on the box that opens: (7) Put any name, "abcde" is what I have used, and click on "Ok" (8) A brown colored box will appear, with the name "abcde", like this: (9) Now, copy the code from below, and go back to the BlueJ screen. (10) Double click and open the brown box which appears on your screen. Delete all the code which is there already. (11) Paste the code you copied from here over there, and click on "Compile" : (12) Now click on "Close", which is present on the same tool bar where "Compile" option was. (13) You will see that the box has changed it's name to "FileOutput4" and it looks like this: (14) Right click on that box, click on "void main", and that's it, you're done! Instructions for people who will use JAVA: Nothing special for you guys, just add "String[] args" as the parameter in the main function, and run it in the usual way. **Note for all users** Please open the code and read the portion named as "INSTRUCTIONS" on the beginning of the code. You must follow those rules and do what has been stated there. Code: import*; import java.util.*; //Coded by Anindit Sinha™ /* * * Welcome to the best possible version of the attack list code * ============ * INSTRUCTIONS * ============ * 1. In case you are using JAVA, just go to the folder where this code and it's class is saved, and create a notepad (.txt file) * and name it "Moveset1.txt". BlueJ users ignore this instruction and move ahead to instruction 2. * 2. In case you are using BlueJ, go to the same folder where you have created the package named "Vortex", open the folder * named "Vortex", and create a notepad (.txt file) and name it "Moveset1.txt". * 3. Now, copy all data from and paste all data in this "Moveset1.txt" and save the file. * 4. Go to the same folder where you have saved the "Moveset1.txt" * 5. Create a new notepad (.txt document) named "AttackNames.txt" * 6. Copy the pokemon attacks of the pokemon page you want to make from this pastebin: * 7. Paste the attacks in this "AttackNames.txt" * 8. Save this notepad document * 9. Run this program to get the full code. * 10. For the next pokemon's attacks, open the same "AttackNames.txt" * 11. Delete the attacks which are already there. * 12. Repeat from Step No. 7 * * ENJOY * */ class FileOutput4 { public static void main()throws IOException { BufferedReader br1=new BufferedReader(new FileReader("AttackNames.txt")); String x=""; int cn=1-1; String a[]=new String[99]; for(int j=cn;j<99;j++) a[j]=null; while((x=br1.readLine())!=null) { String split[]=x.split(","); for(int j=cn;j<split.length;j++) a[j]=split[j]; } System.out.println("===Purchasable Attacks==="); System.out.println("<!-- Attacks Table -->"); System.out.println("<div align='center'>"); System.out.println("{| style=\"text-align: center; float: center; margin-top: 10px; border-radius: 10px;\""); System.out.println("|- class=\"container-attacks\""); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Attack"); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Type"); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Price"); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Power"); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Accuracy"); System.out.println("| class=\"attacks\""+"|Category"); for(int j=cn;j<a.length;j++) { BufferedReader br=new BufferedReader(new FileReader("Moveset1.txt")); while((x=br.readLine())!=null) { String moveName=""; StringTokenizer str=new StringTokenizer(x); String nmbr=str.nextToken(); if(str.countTokens()==6) moveName=str.nextToken(); else if(str.countTokens()==7) moveName=str.nextToken()+" "+str.nextToken(); else if(str.countTokens()==8) moveName=str.nextToken()+" "+str.nextToken()+" "+str.nextToken(); String type=str.nextToken(); String type2=type.toLowerCase().charAt()+type.substring(1); String power=str.nextToken(); String accuracy=str.nextToken(); String spnm=str.nextToken(); String cost=str.nextToken(); if(a[j]!=null && a[j].equalsIgnoreCase(moveName)) { System.out.println("|- class=\"container-"+type2+"\""); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"+moveName); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"+cost); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"+power); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"+accuracy); System.out.println("| class=\""+type2+"\"|"); } } } System.out.println("|}"); System.out.println("</div>"); System.out.println("<!-- End Attacks Table -->"); } } That's about all, just copy the output you get from the Output window and paste it on the wiki in the attack area of the pokemon you are doing. This is how the output will look for BlueJ users: JAVA users will get their output on the usual command prompt window. That's it, enjoy. Requesting @Patrick or @Rob to verify and tell the people that this code doesn't contain anything malicious or something which may harm their computers. Feel free to contact me for any further information, though it might take me some time to reply since I am not going to be very active here for the time being. **In case code breaks or does not work when copied and pasted from here, copy the code from this link: **

It simply rolls two dice until it hits a double six and displays how many rolls it took to get a double six.
13. Programing Basic IRC Python Bot

##################################### ### Basic IRC bot coded in python ### ##################################### ############# Hercules ############## ##################################### import sys import socket server = "" channel = "#test" bot_nick = "Ballerina" port = 6667 nickserv_password = "nickserv_password" irc = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM) print "Connecting on the "+ server irc.connect((server, port)) irc.send("USER "+ bot_nick +" "+ bot_nick +" "+ bot_nick +" :Just an IRC bot!\n") irc.send("NICK "+ bot_nick +"\n") irc.send("PRIVMSG NickServ IDENTIFY :"+ nickserv_password +"\n") irc.send("JOIN "+ channel +"\n") while 1: text=irc.recv(2040) print text if text.find('PING') != -1: irc.send('PONG '+ text.split() [1] + '\r\n') if text.find(':!hi') !=-1: t = text.split(':!hi') to = t[1].strip() irc.send('PRIVMSG '+ channel +' :Hello! \r\n') This bot is not tested yet, it should connect to the specified IRC and then join the specified channel and on !hi it should show output "Hello!" in the channel.
14. DO YOU CODE? OR CAN YOU MAKE WEBSITE DESIGNS? So How about you share them here? This is a Thread where you can make your own designs for Website and post. You can post yours too or Rate others people's design.
15. Programing Away Message

This is an away message script I made for mIRC. I'm not always around, or I'm usually busy, so I can't respond to everyone. Feel free to use this yourself. If you can improve my code, feel free to do so and explain why it's better in a reply, I'm more than happy to listen. Insert the code into your remotes (CTRL+R). To set your "away" message type: /statusmsg Status Nickname For example, you can type Busy instead of Away: /statusmsg Busy Chris|Busy Code alias statusmsg { if ($1 != back) { set %status $1 nick $2 } else { halt } if (%status) { unset %status nick $2 } else { halt } } on *:text:*:?: { if (%status) { if (!%busy. [ $+ [ $nick ] ]) { set -z %busy. [ $+ [ $nick ] ] 1200 msg $nick Automated Message: My status is currently set to $+ %status so I may respond slower than usual, or not at all. You won't see this notifcation for another 20 minutes if you message me again. } else { halt } } else { halt } }
16. Something I worked on a while back for funsies, because y'know, why not? So you have a few images but you're not a dab hand in PhotoShop to get that animated feeling you want. No worries, CSS3 Keyframes will do the job for you. You can use separate images or compile them to one image if you like, I've decided to go with the latter in my example. Here it is in action: Watch that Gyarados use his not so special attack. Here is the code: CSS: .movement { width: 80px; height: 80px; background-image: url(""); -webkit-animation: play .4s steps(4, end) infinite; -moz-animation: play .4s steps(4, end) infinite; -ms-animation: play .4s steps(4, end) infinite; -o-animation: play .4s steps(4, end) infinite; animation: play .4s steps(4, end) infinite; } @-webkit-keyframes play { from { background-position: 0px; } to { background-position: -320px; } } @-moz-keyframes play { from { background-position: 0px; } to { background-position: -320px; } } @-ms-keyframes play { from { background-position: 0px; } to { background-position: -320px; } } @-o-keyframes play { from { background-position: 0px; } to { background-position: -320px; } } HTML: <div class="movement"></div> Yes, it's as simple as that.
17. This is a jQuery popup I made in my free time. Feel free to use it in your own projects. If you can improve my code, feel free to do so and explain why it's better in a reply, I'm more than happy to listen. See it in action: Click the link "Display" and it will show the popup. Click outside of the content (In the black area) and it will close the popup. jQuery $(document).ready(function() { // If they click the ID display the popup $(".popup-header").click(function() { $("#popup-container").fadeIn("fast"); }); // If they click outside of the content close the popup $("#popup-container").click(function(event) { var target = $(; if ("#popup-container")) { $("#popup-container").fadeOut("fast"); } }); }); HTML <a class="popup-header" href="#">Display</a> <!-- Popup Container --> <div id="popup-container" style="display: none;"> <!-- Popup Content Container --> <div class="popup-content"> Hullo </div> </div> CSS #popup-container { background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.6); /* For IE 5.5 - 7*/ filter: progid: DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#99000000, endColorstr=#99000000); /* For IE 8*/ -ms-filter: "progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#99000000, endColorstr=#99000000)"; width: 100%; height: 100%; z-index: 9999; top: 0%; position: fixed; } .popup-content { color: #000; background-color: #fff; border-radius: 10px; height: 85%; width: 70%; padding: 10px 20px 0 20px; margin: 0 auto; top: 7%; position: relative; overflow: auto; }
