egerwheth Posted May 3, 2020 Share Posted May 3, 2020 I came across a wild Mystic Poipole and I was so stoked to catch it. I weakened it so I would get a better chance of catching it. After using multiple great/ultra balls attempting to catching and my pokemon in my team dying off, I decided to use a masterball that I won multiple of them via completing sidequests. To my surprise, after using at least 5-8 masterballs, it was able to be free. According to Pokemonvortex's wiki, I quote, the Masterball is " The best Ball with the ultimate level of performance. It will catch any wild Pokémon without fail. " I felt so cheated after clicking multiple times, spending hours walking around the map looking for rare/legendary pokemons, I wasn't able to catch the pokemon, EVEN WITH A MASTERBALL! I know who ever is gonna read it will not believe me without proof so I took a screenshot! Check the attachment. I couldn't catch it and I didn't want to end up with a strike on my profile saying I lost to a pokemon so I had to choice to kill it. Multiple great balls, ultra balls masterballs, I had no choice but to kill it. WTF? This is both a BUG and ERROR which I hope will be rectified! Auke1993 Posted May 3, 2020 Share Posted May 3, 2020 You were fighting an Ultra Beast. Ultra Beasts do not get a certain catch rate with the Master Ball. Ultra Beasts must be caught with the Beast Ball (specific to Ultra Beasts), or a Vortex Ball. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
