1 Auke1993
There is no way to cancel a bid, as having that option could abuse the system in ways not intended. For example, someone could big really high early on, then last second remove the bid, and the Pokémon wouldn't be sold. Another example. Let's say two people make a bid. Person A outbidding person B. Person B then uses the money they know they have (as they aren't winning the previously mentioned auction) to buy or bid on something else. If Person A could remove their bid, what happens? Either the auction loses all bids (which is bad for the seller), or it makes Person B's offer valid again. This'd not be fair for person B, as they would lose money they shouldn't have lost. Potentially they won't have that money at that point anymore either. That'd cause problems. There's likely more examples to come up with. Hopefully these ones give you an idea of why a bid cannot be removed.
