Answered So how exactly do Clans work?

Hey everyone! Kinda new here, so forgive the noobie question. This might even be a question that's clearly explained somewhere, but I did quite some digging and can't find an answer so here it goes:

How exactly do Clans work? Like, if I would join one, what new things would I be able to do and see? Would we be able to fight other clans or whatever together? Or do we have like a collective Pokemon collection together? What are the things one can see and do when he joins a clan and what things become (partly) collective once you do?

A Clan currently offers being a member and battling other clans to earn points for your Clan.

Pretty much at the moment, clans were just little groups. Someone could join a clan, and points for beating other computer controlled of their team, catching Pokemon, etc gave you "points" for you clan. To me, it was a little pointless, but Patrick has said they will be getting quite a bit of updates that will further make clans more enjoyable, for example, an admin of the clan could (After updates) issues prizes to certain members, etc.
