Answered Unique Pokemon

So on people's profiles, it lists how many unique pokemon a person has. Does it only count one pokemon of the same type? So if a person has two Mewtwos, does it only count one of them? If it says that as a person has 3 unique pokemon, but in their pokedex it lists 7, what does that mean? Is it just a glitch?

A unique Pokemon is a variant of each Pokemon

For example, a Shiny Mewtwo and a Dark Mewtwo would amount to 2 uniques - 2 Shadow Mewtwo's would amount to 1 unique.

It counts one Pokemon of each type. So let's say you have 5 normal Mewtwo's, it would only count as 1 unique Pokemon for Mewtwo. And each Pokemon as it's variant. Like Shiny, Dark, etc which count separately too.
