Answered Pink version of pokemons

I'm playing the Sidequests for the first time and i'm at the "Pinkan Island" and some of the trainers use Pink versions of the pokemons, apparently they have no bonus in the game.
My question is if those variations were available to be captured at any time before?

Pink Pokemon are not possible to obtain ingame.
