1 Auke1993 Posted November 20, 2017 Share Posted November 20, 2017 You're only able to change the nickname of Pokémon that you caught, that you are the Original Trainer (OT) of. This is the same as it is within the main Pokémon games. If the OT is someone else, the only way to change the nickname is to trade the Pokémon to the OT, have them nickname it, and then trade it back to you.
