Hello, I wonder how unique pokemon count in seasonal leaderboards is calculated.

Do I have to catch new pokemons in that month or putting up for trade/trading/releasing and then receiving that pokemon back counts?  What happens if I own every common pokemon?

It needs to be unique to that season, yes.

For example, if you catch a Cubone this month, it will count as 1 unique this season. When the season ends and the leaderboard is reset, you can catch another Cubone for it to count to the next season, even if you have the previous season's Cubone still on your account.

Trading has no effect on seasons, you must do everything on your own account for it to count.
