Question for older players

Recommended Posts

I joined last year and for about a month and a half I was playing because I needed to do something in English class. And I had this spark and I really loved the game, and for about 8 months I was just bored and not drawn and now I'm back kinda. I have the spark again and my plan is to not lose the spark. Can any of you OG's give tips on how not to get bored?

Auke makes some good points, and I would add that you should limit the time you spend on the game each day.

I was in the same boat with you. When I was really into the game, I'd spend hours each day grinding and looking for pokemon on the maps. I got to a point where I completely lost interest in the game for a few months. After that long break, I became interested in the game once again. My advice would be to play casually, and not spend hours each day on the game. I currently check my account once every few days (I do check the forums daily though) and am perfectly satisfied with it.

Moral of the story: Don't overplay the game, take breaks, and you'll enjoy it alot more than before (and for alot longer than before).

Oh yeah, and welcome back :D

I had something similar to eurstin.
I played so much at one point, while making near-daily Vortex videos as well, which made it feel forced.
I took a break.
After a while, I'm now playing more casually, and am enjoying it more.

You may figure out after a while that the way you play doesn't give you the enjoyment you'd like.
If so, experiement with different ways. Everyone has their own preference.

Always set a limit for the day like grind 1mil exp or catch a certain amount of pokemon or complete this much battles in sidequests...Although not all people likes to grind on a pokemkn but grinding exp on a pokemon probably raises your comfident and your determination helps you to grind...And yea take Auke's and Eurstin's point they are good guys..Although play anytime you are going to enjoy the game anyway:)
