You can also choose pokemon which are in a lower class than ou.
You can pick pokemon from OU, BL, UU, BL2, RU, NU, BL4 and PU.
So there are plenty of pokemon to choose from.

Btw your team isn't mono-type as altaria is only fairy type in its mega evolution.

When trying to change an attack of Zigzagoon to 'Pin Missle', I get an error.
I think this is due to the fact that 'Pin Missle' should be spelled like: 'Pin Missile'. (an extra i)

For stages with 40 seconds or less:
Just pick the most powerful and effective pokemon. You don't really need a mega pokemon, since you have simply no time to mega-evolve it.
For stages longer than 40 seconds: Try to mega evolve your pokemon first, as it will allow you to make great combos.

I got really lucky last time:
I challenged Heatran in expert stages and cleared it with only 1 second left.
I had a 1% chance of catching it with a pokeball.
It stayed in. .__.
