You will have a chance at obtaining rewards once you have completed a region (for more information you can check out the
    PV wiki page- https://wiki.pokemon-vortex.com/wiki/Sidequests
30-45 battles is not even halfway to completing the first section yet- that's still in the Kanto region. If you're finding that battles are difficult to go through, then it would be best to have a team that covers all your bases to account for the the different types of Pokémon you'll encounter.

Moreover, the Thunder Stone is something you would have to purchase at the PokéMart for 3000 PD, it's not a drop from sidequests.

As for the blue orb, it is considered a rare drop; and you would have to complete the Hoenn region for a chance of it dropping (because of the rarity, it may now even drop the first time). Battles can take a lot of time, but it serves a purpose being that way. If it was so easy to get items like a blue orb then it would have pretty much no value and nearly every player would have variants of Kyogre (Primal). Like any other game you have to do a lot of battles to get good loot, and that's no different in Pokémon Vortex- whether it's for items from sidequests, points, training for exp or for obtaining Pokédollars, you just have to do a lot of battles (that being said, if you don't want to do that, then mystery boxes and auctions are another way to get rare items).

I just think it's far too monotonous and excessive. Like why is genuine overworld sidequests not a valid option? There is a reason we are not Redditors here; we should not be downvoting each others' opinions like this!

Nobody wants to do the sidequests. They are far too long and grindy. Even I can't get through all of them and I am normally a completionist.

The thing is, I agree with Marioipod13 right here. I don't have time to battle through 1,000 trainers with Rattata just for this. Why not create actual overworld sidequests like exploring an abandoned ship or retrieving a missing pair of glasses?

    This is an incorrect statement.
I, for one, like doing Sidequests. It's grindy, sure. However, in the long run it's still one of the best ways to get money. And that's not even considering the other rewards you can get.

Arceus blast it, I tried doing like thirty of these stupid sidequest trainers and all I got was my Pokemon to Level 100 which I would have done anyway at the Pokemon League!

  3. Hello, the mega stone shop doesn't have Mega Stones for any of my favorite Pokemon that Mega evolve. I have an Aggron (my favorite Pokemon), a Steelix, a Camerupt, and a Tyranitar I want to mega. Can you please at least help me get an Aggronite?

Good afternoon to whoever is reading this!

This is an advertisement for my clan, The Entities!

The only requirement is to be active, and you're in! If you are interested in joining, contact me, EntityL0rd, via 'Messages' on Pokemon Vortex, or you can directly send a clan request by searching 'The Entities' in the 'Clans' category.

Normally I would join you, but I have someone else to join. Thanks a lot for the offer anyway.

  5. Marioipod13, is this you? I am one of your biggest fans!

Anyway, I know you really don't like Wobbuffet but I hope you're OK with Wynaut. Wynaut is so so cute and I like it, I couldn't bear to evolve my Wynaut on Emerald. I also agree with you that Wobbuffet wearing lipstick as a female is really weird.

Does anyone else share my opinion? My reason is somewhat niche but I really hate Wobbuffet.

So, I used to kinda like Wobbuffet because he's kinda funny in the TV show but now, after what it's done to me, I hate it!

One time a long time ago, I had a 208 win streak in the battle tower in Pokemon Sapphire. I was using my Wobbuffet holding Leftovers when another Wobbuffet (also holding Leftovers) was sent out by the opponent. Even after they started using Struggle they couldn't outdamage leftovers and it ended up an infinite battle! I was left with no recourse but to turn off the game and see my 208-win-streak out the window... after trying to solve the battle for six hours!

That is why I hate Wobbuffet so much. It has failed me if it's on my side but if I am fighting it it's a nightmare! Have you ever encountered a Wobbuffet (or a Wynaut) in a Nuzlocke or on Pokemon Showdown when you're not expecting it? It can really screw things up for me, losing my ladder or that one infamous incident where a Wobbuffet caused me to lose a Nuzlocke because it beat out my Metang!

Also, Wobbuffet's gender difference is stupid. The female is wearing lipstick! Eew! That is SO gross! Where does it get the lipstick anyway?!

Oh and please keep doing those Pokemon tournaments! I am really enjoying them!

  6. OK thanks, I'll probably go get an Oddish or something... then have to grind it up to Level 100.

My current team is full of water weaknesses:

    Machamp

    Steelix

    Rhyperior

    Camerupt

    Tyranitar

Aggron (I am not removing Aggron because he is my favorite)

I beat Juan tonight. Now I just need a Groudon and an Aggronite then I'll be ready to challenge the Pokemon League. I just hope Steven is there and not Wallace because it will be impossible for me to beat Wallace.

  7. I am trying to beat the Hoenn leaders so I can capture a Groudon but Juan is too tough. His Pokemon are much higher levels than in Emerald and I can't seem to beat him no matter how hard I try.
