There would be no point in tinkering PV to be more like a standard Pokemon game when you can just play a standard Pokemon game.
PV is the spiritual successor to Pokemon Crater, which was awesome in its simplicity and casual gameplay. PV is already way more than PC was so I'm content and grateful enough. Just some other quick counterpoints;
1. the League is basically clans, and Sidequests already have rewards and progression.
2. If that happened, everyone and their grandma would be using snorlax for competitive reasons. An even playing field lets people use pokemon they like and still have a chance at battles. Im sick of meta gamers.
3. False swipe does 67 damage every time no matter what. I suspect the coding to keep the 1HP left effect from the game is too intricate, so keep in mind 67 when whittling HP and you should be safe from accidental KOs.
4. Theres a calander reward system, VC credits for season shop rewards, lootboxes to buy from pokebay, sidequest rewards, and unlocking legendary Pokes for getting badges. That not enough?
5. This one is small and innocuous I don't see why not actually.

It's an art shop with a monthly giveaway raffle and contest.
The point is to get art of one of your favorite Pokemon, to use in forums or as a profile pic or just have for yourself to be happy.
For instance I've used my Porygon Z 'Dark Web' for a long time. So I wanted art of him, and figured why not make it a card. So I did and I like having it.
I suppose the point would be so others can too.

Intro: I love art, I love Pokemon, and I have a manageable addiction to PV (I can stop any time, I promise.) So I decided to put all of that together to make super personalized cards for players of this awesome community, and add a very unique and interesting aspect to PV overall for all fans. I hope to one day have an entire catalogue of cards built by player commissions for the community to awe and marvel at. *I am in no way trying to step on Patricks toes or force my way into any lore, story, or official status. This is purely separate and for fun, and maybe to feed my PV addiction.*Now that that's out of the way, let me introduce you to the cards! Custom made to fit a smaller screen space, while keeping to the retro aesthetic of the older gen cards, these
commissioned cards are only $30 a piece no matter WHAT the Pokemon, scene or setting.
-Choose your Pokemons HP, nickname, stats, attack and even bio! Customize it completely, or if you prefer, leave it up to me to design as realistic as the TCG itself!
-Not only receive the custom card, but the full HD artwork of your Pokemon featured in the card as a separate file!
-Cards enter a by-commission-order numerical catalogue, which means the growth of the set and its legacy depends on the players love for their Pokemon and is represented historically in card catalogue form!

I'm still trying to find out where the locations are. Or if I even need every badge first, because Ive been too lazy to find the last couple Galar badges.

I tried every code, link, input method and preview test for the past hour and I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach or display an image here from IMGUR. Came back after about a year hiatus so things might have changed, but I was easily able to before from IMGUR so now I'm assuming a bug? Or has there just been a change I'm not aware of?

This could be good, as a casual player I've missed many event pokemon that I can't spend 100mil on pokebay for, I would like an event currency that I can use to stockpile for a type of "vaulted" store.

Personally I'm going to push my own talents towards requesting to help oversee a fanart subforum for vortex, where I want to write and illustrate a webcomic thats shaped by the users voting effect. I want to help add a very creative aspect to continued user support. But this is my first time mentioning it, don't tell anybody.

I havent messed with the Clan system too much to say for sure but, don't you fight other clan members (players) AI pokemon? So just a solo version of that with a rewards ladder?

Been gone for a couple years, checked in every once in a while and at first haaated the new explore design interface, but now I love it.
What else has been implemented the past few years worth mentioning in case I missed anything neat or awesome.

I'm the leader of the Artists Guild and held a contest in the forum a month or so back. Shocker, not one person entered.
It's a shame, the winner would have recieved free art of their trainer OC and their 2 partner Pokemon. So I did it for myself instead.

I agree, seems almost like a no-brainer since like you mentioned, its a mechanic implemented in almost every other Pokemon MMO type attempt.
Considering its 15 a month just to be a member, I would assume the people making these decisions have the cash for the servers or whatever they need to make it a possibility.
Where are Hisuian Pokémon locations?

Not all Hisuian Pokemon need you to be in Sinnoh, I've caught 2 white stripe Basculin and I'm still in Kanto.
