I don't think we need EXP candies.I agree with you getting a Pokémon to level: 100 is pretty easy due to the fact of the use of many training accounts so I rarely see the point of rare candies.

Adamant crystals can be found in the sinnoh region of the sidequest as a reward drop, you can also get this item through things such as pokebay.
Once you have obtained the adamant crystal you can then evolve dialga into the origin form.
