Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon is announced as a part of the Nintendo Direct and will release on 17th November 2017.
 

Along with the release dates, comes this two new Pokemon

These Pokémon form has the appearance of a Solgaleo and Lunala that has been amalgamed by elements from Necrozma.

Well, that was impossible anyway. It's like a Go away new player thing. A lot of people will join the game once v4 comes out so it'd make sense to keep the Alolan Starters. The New year event was a just a way to get them earlier.
