Clans where the leader is banned get deleted in due time, it cannot have a new leader.

This happens because you're trying to resubmit a form with information from a battle. The information is no longer relevant (because the battle is complete?) so the battle will do nothing with it, resulting in that error.

They have been pruned in the past, yes but they're not actively deleted after certain ages.

When a clan leader is banned, the clan is later deleted (no exact timeframe) All of its users will be removed from the clan and free to join another, or you can speed up that process by just leaving before it is deleted.

These question forums are for fact-based help with the game, not opinionated questions like “what should I do?” Or “what is better?”
