Newrogue
I'd like to make a suggestion around the discord coin system. If I'm correct the only current way to gain coins efficiently is through the quiz, and this is something I would like to see changed. I might be the only one, but i find the quiz far too difficult and am unable to keep up, yet I would still like to access the items in the discord store with the coins. My idea would be something like a daily claim, which would give players a reasonable amount of coins every 24 hours, making it so that most players in the discord will be able to eventually access some of the shop, but still giving those who actively partake in the quiz an extra edge. Thanks for reading and Patrick if you see this great work on the game these past events have been great! billabob
I don't think everything has to be easy or accessible, this is a collectathon game. Alcremie Clover & Slowking Galarian take a lot of effort to get, and that's what makes them worth it. Personally I find quiz one of the most fun parts of this game, it is hard at first but it doesn't take long before you can consistently get decent coins from it (knowing the easy answers and copying short answers like levels can easily get you 80 per quiz). Getting 10/10s takes a lot more effort but it's something you can get better at Currently the only quiz prizes worth buying to resell are Meltan candies, which lets you sell 1500 coins for 4.5M PKD. Even assuming you get 10/10 consistently on every quiz and never miss a quiz, that's still 9 hours of quizzes for only 4.5M. You might as well be doing EXP training. I wouldn't want to devalue the coins even more by giving them out for free to every single person in the server. 1

For someone like me who doesn't participate in the quizzes, ( I've tried like ten times total and couldn't get anything, take that as you will lol) the 400 meltan candies needed to evolve one meltan is simply not viable, especially considering buying 400 off of pokebay would easily cost over 100 mil. I think it's issue of accessibility at this point, and I think that poses two sides of the people who play this game against eachother, the side that plays casually, and the more dedicated players. I personally lean toward the casual side, simply because the free time I have I prefer to spread evenly between hobbies. I don't really have much of a defense to be entirely honest since the suggestion is kind of for a specific part of the player base, but I just think it would be cool to see.
billabob
Variant Melmetals are seen as highly valuable end-game Pokemon, and it's for a reason. I think the high candy cost and exclusive means of obtaining them were conscious decisions to elevate Melmetal to this status, probably based on the evolution in Pokemon GO. Casual players can fill out 80% of the Pokedex after some time but eventually you'll get to the hard Pokemon... again, it's a collectathon, some are supposed to be harder than others or the game is just ticking off items on a list. If you can't work at it and put your time into mastering quizzes (which are really fun and less grindy than, say, hunting UBs) then you just can't expect to get the few shop-exclusive Pokemon. Nobody has ever completed the Pokedex on this game, even Jouni who spends a massive amount of money and time was 1 away from completing it before the new Hisuian Pokemon came out. At some point you're going to have to decide what Pokemon you'd prefer to focus on and which avenues of obtaining them you want to pursue. If you like the quiz or you really like Melmetal then grinding PKD and quiz coins to mass buy Meltan candies is just what you have to do, then when you get the Melmetal you can look at it with pride because you had to go through so much to obtain it. I guess what I'm trying to say is this is just an online game and nothing has any real intrinsic value, only the sentimental value you associate with it. And the thrill of the chase is what we're here for, not winning. Quiz is really fun but plz remove vivillon from the who's that Pokemon rounds

Quiz is really fun but plz remove vivillon from the who's that Pokemon rounds I actually agree with this tbh and I don't really have much else to say, so thanks for presenting your ideas and being cordial lol. I still would really like to see this idea implemented in some way, but im also fine if it isnt. And yeah i agree the pokemon you get should reflect the effort you put in but i guess my gripe was I'd rather hunt for like 3 days than take part in the quiz since im terrible at it. But yeah, I see where you're coming from entirely and i guess i'll just have to get studying lol
