    Okay so needed Beast Balls decided to do SQs. I complete them and end up with an Ice Stone, which was cool nonetheless. Then I do them again and what do I end up with? Just one Beast Ball. Heartbreaking to say at the very least.

      It's an item used to evolve a Ninetales or a sandslash into their Alolan forms

      That's not quite correct.
      It's Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Vulpix that use the Ice Stone.
      Regular Sandshrew evolves by leveling up, with regular Vulpix evolving by Fire Stone.
