What did you wish you knew when you started out? What is something you think is useful for a new player to know when they've just started?

Let's battle in Pokémon Vortex's new Season Battle Tower.

Pokémon Vortex has had a big update to how points are earned for the Seasonal Rankings, partially by introducing the Season Battle Tower.

This is what I know about it now.

I intended to record two videos about the new event, but have found no time today to do any recordings.
I will instead have the videos ready for Sunday and Tuesday.
Sorry about the delay.

I could see myself regularly doing the new Battle Tower.
That plus the occasional hunt for Pokémon where I get some points from could set me up really well for the Season.

I will be making a video on the new Vortex update. It will be Friday's video, as tomorrow is Pokémon Battle Revolution day for my channel.

New players of Pokémon Vortex, what are things you'd like to have explained in a (relatively short) tutorial video?
Experienced players, what are things you'd have loved to know when you were a new player?

I will have a new Vortex video on my channel today.
If you have suggestions for tutorials aimed specifically at beginner players, please let me know.
That's what I want to focus on in the coming weeks.

I'm really happy to see how well my Pokémon Battle Revolution video are doing.
yesterday's one hit 100 views in around 12 hours, which is very fast.

Speaking of videos people generally like, I plan to record a Vortex video tomorrow.

I have created a Pokémon Trivia Quiz on Kahoot with 30 questions.
I'm thinking of hosting the quiz on stream in a few days from now.

This is a reminder to everyone that I am avoiding ALL trailers for the new Pokémon games.
I know the games exist, and I know I will want to buy and play them.
Please do not tell me anything about the new games. I want to stay as spoiler-free as possible.
I want to find out all there is to know during my own gameplay.

Pokémon Vortex has received a content update.

I really like the Saved Teams feature.

My partner came over from the US today, and I didn't find time to record a Vortex video.
I instead intend to aim for 2 days from now to talk about the new update.

I intend to put a lot of my duplicate Pokémon up on PokéBay over the coming weeks.
Every time I play I intend to add some more.
Most Pokémon will be variants (and potentially evolutions) of common wild encounters. There may be others too.
I think this will be most interesting to look at for Pokédex completionists.

I'm really happy about Saved Teams now being a feature in Pokémon Vortex.
I will be uploading a video with my ideas about it tomorrow.
There may even be a cameo by my partner.

I'm currently putting loads of my duplicate Pokémon on Pokébay. Most will be variants, like Shadow and Shiny.
Type in 'Auke1993' in the PokéBay search bar, and you should see my auctions.

What are some of your favourite pieces of music from videogames?
I'm working on a project where I want to use video game music for background music.
It can be from any videogame, old and new. It doesn't have to be Pokémon either.
Please give me a Youtube link to the music, so that I can listen to them easily.

After this event is over, I'm going to focus more again on completing my Pokédex.
I think I may go for it region by region. I'll still catch anything I encounter that I don't have yet, but I will go to areas that have the specific Pokémon I'm looking for. I'm currently thinking of starting with Johto, as that's the region I have the highest percentage of Pokémon for. I'll do it in Pokédex order, meaning I'll start with the starters (and their evolutions).

So basically, it's the same as Grookey hunting. That's not that different from this event, is it?

We have just over a day left in the Meloetta event on Pokémon Vortex.

Please let me show you how far I've progressed, and what I'm working on.

I like the current event.
The way we're gathering a band to unlock a different Pokémon is a really nice unique concept.
I also like the hunting we have to do for different Pokémon, of different rarities (Grookey anyway). It reminds me of Scavenger Hunt events, which are easily my favourites.

With the many Pokébay sales I had in the past week, including a 1.2 million PokeDollar Rattata and a 2.58 million PokeDollar Voltorb (BB-8), I'm back into the Top 100 richest users.
Let's go!

This is the first Vortex event in quite some time where I'm having relative success (so far anyway). I just caught a Dark Grookey, and with that was able to complete the 2nd band.
Four more to go, and they all require me to get more Grookey (or Thwackey).

The fact I've caught a lot of Pokémon in the past few years helped me start up for the event. The Grookey will be my biggest challenge, as I only had a standard one before today.
