1. We do have such a thing. A soft ban is to further investigate a situation. Usually this is not needed due to its easy to tell when someone is usually cheating.

3. Shared connections always run the risk for anything. The more you share anything, be a network, account, etc, the more risk you take of something bad happening.

No there is not an appeal process. Accounts that have been subjected to being banned have been 100% sure that the account itself was found to be cheating (Automated gameplay of ANY kind) or abusing glitches. So, it could have been you or maybe you shared your account with someone, but it was found to be cheating.

Accounts that are banned are checked out 100% before they are banned. If you're account was banned, your account was confirmed to be doing something it shouldn't be doing. Cheating, scamming, etc.

Sorry to say but that is your fault. The other person is not required to give it back nor are admins required to fix a mistake that you did. Nothing can/will be done about the situation.

The starters, along with select other Pokemon like Eevee for example are rare to find.
