Hi, brother created an account from pokemon vortex v3 or v2 or maybe even v1. Anyways he stopped playing for a while  and when v4 finally came he wanted to play again. However when he typed in his  username  and password it said it didn't work. Also so we know it's not incorrect because it's still in my email. So I'm thinking it got deactivated somehow. Please help!

When V2 became V3, everything was reset. Everyone had to start from scratch.
From V3 to V4, everyone could continue with their V3 account.

Your brother likely had an account on V2, and didn't play while V3 was active.
This would mean he'd have to start from scratch.
