Answered Moveset restrictions?

Are movesets restricted amongst each pokemon? Or can any pokemon learn any move? If i remember right you used to be able to pick from any move but now i recently came back to this game and trying to cover my aggrons mega's weaknesses but couldn't find the moves i wanted. I looked around in forum before posting but still couldn't find anything. Thank you!

A Pokemon can learn virtually any move that it would be able to learn in the games. But, if your wondering if a Charizard can learn Hydro Cannon, then no, it cannot.

Pokemon can learn all moves it can learn in games.
