What is your friends username? And do you mean you blocked them from the members side tab? Or on the chat bar?

What browser are you using? Some older browsers may not support the filter used to "grey-out" the badges so they will appear as if you have them. If this is the case then it would be best for you to track your badges on your profile from the members tab on the left. Click members, scroll to the bottom, type your username in then click your name, then click "Show Badges".

The prizes are dropped at the end of the region, and that's the percentage chance of each one. It's not per battle.

This is an unavoidable hazard, unfortunately. Sometimes the connection will be list between you and the game servers and things like this will occur. I know that's not what you want to hear but I'm sure you'll find a replacement Shiny Zapdos in no time if you're willing to continue.
