    You don't get the Pokemon when it faints.

    To catch the Pokemon you need to use a Pokeball.

    There are several Pokeballs;

    Pokeball.png- Lowest catch rate, good for weak pokemon.

    Great Ball.png- Higher Pokémon catch rate than a standard Poké Ball can.

    Ultra Ball.png- Ultra-high performance Poké Ball with a higher success rate for catching Pokémon than a Great Ball.

    Dive Ball.png- A Poké Ball that works well when catching Pokémon that live underwater.

    Dusk Ball.png- A Poké Ball that makes it easier to catch wild Pokémon at night or in dark places like caves.

    Moon Ball.png- A Poké Ball that will make it easier to catch Pokémon that can evolve using a Moon Stone.

    Net Ball.png- A Poké Ball that is more effective when attempting to catch Water or Bug-type Pokémon.

    Master Ball.png- A high capture rate Poké Ball. With it, you can catch any wild Pokémon without fail (Excluding Ultra Beasts).

    Vortex Ball.png- Similar to a Master Ball, it has the ultimate level of performance. With it, you can catch any wild Pokémon without fail.

    Beast Ball.png- Specifically designed to hold Ultra Beast Pokémon. 

     

    For low performance pokeballs, you should weaken the pokemon first.
