    • If you did in fact win horizontally across the 3 wheels with 3 matching tiles that give prizes (not all matches give prizes, check the FAQ at the bottom of the event page) then reload the event page, your promo codes are further down the page under the slot machine wheels.
    • If you're saying you matched 2 tiles, that's not a win.
    • If you matched 3 Charizards, Blastoises or Venusaurs, your money for that spin is refunded, you don't win a promo code.

So you want to win an Arceus (Unknown)? Of course you do...

All you have to do is guess the number of global spins that the event will have by the end of it and the person closest will win.

    Rules:

    • You cannot edit your post (This will void your entry and you will not be valid to win)
    • You cannot guess more than once
    • All entries must be submitted 7 days before the event ends (December 20th)
    • You cannot guess the same number as someone else

    Prize:

    Arceus (Unknown)

  2. @eurstin Yeah, it's RocketDock. Used it since Windows Vista where it actually did something, now it's just a fancy way to display your icons in Windows 10. All functionality of what it used to do has gone.

Not that it matters, I'm not much of a Windows user anyway, my main OS is Linux.

  3. Show off your wallpapers and cluttered (or clean) desktops.

I thought this topic already existed but apparently not. If someone finds it, let me know and I'll delete this one.

Simply post a screenshot of your computer desktop. Here's mine:

  4. I would never do this. Not because it's a bad idea but because it's a bad idea.

Joking aside, you need to understand that a lot of people don't venture to the other parts of Vortex outside of the game unless they're instructed to (Forums, chat, wiki, Facebook and so on)

This isn't because they're not interested in helping the community grow in a lot of cases, some people just don't know they exist. Who's to say some of the people who just found out Vortex has forums because of the giveaway won't stick around now they know? Possibly become an asset to the community in helping with guides, good trade topics and so on.

Just because someone wasn't informed well enough of something, they shouldn't be penalised from winning things for the entirety of Vortex.

That said, the daily active forum users shouldn't have a higher chance of winning just because they're here more often. The forums are for everyone and so are the giveaways.

I could just as easily post the giveaway on Facebook and get three or four times the amount of entries. It shouldn't be seen as "Oh now I'll never win" You should see it as a gathering of people who all play and enjoy the same game, that's what makes a community worth being a part of.

Welcome them, help them, make them feel a part of what you claim is a 40 man operation so it's no longer just 40. Not winning a Caterpie shouldn't be the focus of what's going on at all.
